MEDICAL PEEL

peeling

This is yet another method of express skin rejuvenation, which we would like to offer you. Peeling of the epidermis is needed in all ages, because it fulfils different needs of our skin.

In case of teenagers it unblocks the pores, to people in their twenties it helps to maintain smooth and radiant complexion, to people in their thirties it improves the tone and evens out the colour of the skin, it reduces emerging wrinkles.

When the skin is ageing and gets slack, the peel acts like a physical exercise — it stimulates rejuvenation of cells. In course of a treatment, called exfoliation, it is possible to regulate the process of excessive greasiness, shallow scars and fine wrinkles, and to hide the pores. Such treatments can also be performed prophylactically to prevent emergence of wrinkles and to delay the process of ageing.

Principles of therapy
During the first visit, the doctor gets the patient acquainted with principles of the effect and stages of the treatment. After the treatment the therapy is continued at home. During the assumed duration, under no circumstances should the therapy be stopped! If the treatment with the COSMELAN preparation is stopped then discolorations may re-emerge, as the therapy does not eliminate the tendency for hyperpigmentation, but it only interrupts it. It is not advised to use any other whitening and exfoliating agent during the treatment. Otherwise the anticipated therapeutic effects may not be obtained. It is recommended to schedule a check-up 8, 15 and 30 days after the treatment.

Course of treatment
Once the make-up is removed, the doctor applies oil-removing liquid, which has cleansing and oil-removing properties, removes dead cells from the skin surface, and increases penetration of the active Cosmelan preparation 1. A subsequent stage consists in application of the Cosmelan preparation 2. This is a mustard colour mask that provides basis for the treatment. Its main objective is to eliminate spots. The patient goes home with the mustard mask on. The mask should be rinsed off after a time specified by a doctor depending on the phototype (5-8 hours.) It is recommended to make appointment for the treatment in the afternoon or on a day off from work and other responsibilities.

Home treatment
Cosmelan 2 Cream. A cream that helps maintain the effect of the treatment. The preparation helps remove hyperpigmentations, regulates secretion of sebum, closes the pores, and prevents hyperpigmentation. One of the ingredients is a high sun protection factor. It protects the skin against ultraviolet radiation, in course of the whitening therapy. It must be applied according to doctor’s indications. Hydra-Vital Factor K cream intensively nourishes and moisturizes the skin after the treatment. It constitutes a supplement of the treatment, maintains smoothness and elasticity of the skin.

Skin after the treatment
In the first 2 days after the treatment and in case of very sensitive complexions the skin may be very empurpled. This is a very normal reaction. Tension and burning sensations can be also observed. In order to reduce the painful sensation on the skin, it is possible to apply the Hydravital Factor K cream more frequently. Every day in the morning and before leaving the house the patient should apply cream with a high sun protection factor.

kwas glikolowy

Its undeniable advantage is that it improves the condition of skin of all ages. Dry skin becomes better moisturized, softer and brighter. Oily skin with widened pores, often also with acne scars becomes more delicate and light-colored. It is accessible in different concentrations. The mean and intensity of its effect on the skin depends on applying the appropriate concentration. It enables to match the concentration depending on the type of skin, the nature of disorder and the anticipated effect.

With the concentration of 15% the glycolic acid has a very effective moisturizing effect, and exfoliating effect on the cornified layer of the skin that is invisible to the human eye, but it also supports the renewal and regeneration of the proper skin through stimulation of activeness of fibroblasts.

A higher, 20%- 35% concentration, except of a moisturizing and purifying effect on the skin (for instance acne skin) has a surface peeling effect.

High concentrations (50%-70%) exfoliate and strongly stimulate regeneration processes in the proper skin.

Multiple application of the glycolic acid has a very advantageous effect to the proper skin, leading to increase of its thickness by approximately 25% without causing an inflammatory condition. With a long-term application (6 months and longer) of substances containing glycolic acid, elastic fibers are restored and skin flexibility is improved. In parallel, an increased production of collagen fibers and mucopolysaccharides can be observed, which in turn, leads to smoothing out wrinkles and a long-term improvement of biological and aesthetic properties of the skin.
