Photorejuvenation
This is a method for regenerating our skin with the use of light that is more delicate than laser dermabrasion and deep chemical peels. It is a general-purpose treatment, as it removes sun-induced hyperpigmentation, freckles, widened capillaries, facial erythema, widened pores and other effects of photodamage of the skin.
The advantage of the treatment, is that it is less invasive than other methods offered so far, and most of all it is express, as already on the second day, one can get back to normal everyday activeness.
This treatment relies on beam of light reacting on the skin. An IPL device, namely the Intense Pulsed Light on the same moment emits different wave lengths in all directions. Thanks to this, at the same time, many effects of photoageing can be eliminated. The treatment as such, which is preceded with a medical consultation, looks rather innocently. First, a cold gel with pre-cooling and facial swelling reduction properties is applied on the skin. Subsequently, using a special head equipped with a filter, a series of luminous shots are applied to the skin.
At the same time, one wave length fights for instance with capillaries, the second one eliminates hyperpigmentation and the third one stimulates production of collagen. The treatment takes 20 to 40 minutes.
Usually just after the treatment, the skin is somewhat red and swollen and after several hours it starts to peel slightly. First effects are visible after two, three series of exposures. For a really beautiful look, approximately five treatments in 4-6 week intervals should be conducted.
Photorejuvenation is a safe bloodless method of skin renewal. The entire layer of skin is not peeled here like with the laser dermabrasion or a peel. We can wash the face with water and use our own cosmetics.
We particularly recommend this treatment to persons with first signs of photoageing of the skin (that is corneous skin, with sun-induced changes) with flat wrinkles and hyperpigmentation. As a result, the skin will become tightened, will be smoother and more delicate.
How to take care of the skin during and after the treatment?
Droughty skin is a side effect of photorejuvenation. Therefore in between subsequent series of exposures, highly hydrating treatments /for instance Hydroptimale/, nourishing and supplying oxygen to the skin should be conducted. Unfortunately the effect of the treatment will not last forever, therefore, in order to maintain it and enjoy a beautiful, young look for the whole time, after completion of the treatment it is recommended to undergo appropriate skincare treatments (for instance the Mini Lift mask, which exercises facial muscles.)
