Removing vascular changes

Blood vessel is the tissue to be removed in case of vascular changes. Light energy is absorbed by blood’s red pigment – the hemoglobin and is changed into heat, raising blood temperature. Once the blood reaches appropriately hot temperatures, it coagulates and destroys vessel’s wall, which after some time is expelled by the organism.

An effective therapy can comply of several treatments performed in the course of few months (usually it is necessary to perform 1-5 treatments), and the disappearance of change, occurs idiosyncratically.

Expected effects can be anticipated within several months time. In this period, in 3-6 week intervals, control visits are required in order to evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment, possible side effects and indications for next treatments.

What are the indications, in other words what can be removed with the laser?

Before the treatment

The doctor shall interview the patent, in the course of which he shall evaluate changes designated for removal, explain the essence of the treatment and presents its contraindications.
