Restylane

Restylane® and Perlane® shape the surface of skin using the same natural substance, which can be found in our organism – hyaluronic acid. It preserves water in your skin, lifting its surface through filling the volume of the tissue, which firms it all over again.
What is the hyaluronic acid?
Good condition of your facial skin surface, its resilience and youthful look, the degree of resistance to time, wind and effect of other atmospheric conditions to a great extent are owed to the hyaluronic acid. It is present in all living organisms, and its most important function is to preserve and store water in the tissue. The hyaluronic acid in a form of a crystal clear gel smoothes out wrinkles and folds and models facial contours – in other words it restores the natural beauty.
- Restylane® is mainly used in eliminating flat wrinkles and emphasizing facial contours and ideal modeling of lips.
- Restylane Fine Lines® is used for smoothing out wrinkles around eyes and lips, lines on the forehead or laugh wrinkles.
- Perlane® is used for modeling facial contours, for example cheeks and chin, correction of deep folds and increasing volume of lips.
What does the treatment involve?
The treatment is effective and gives long-term results. The anticipated change of look will occur both fast and easy. Skin test is needless and the treatment usually takes approximately 30 minutes. The effect is immediate.
The treatment involves injecting tiny portions of crystal clear gel into the skin using a very fine, disposable needle. The gel increases the natural volume of the tissue and smoothes out the winkle. Its property, which relies on the ability to integrate with the surrounding tissue, enables free displacement of food substances, oxygen and hormones between gel’s particles. Thus in effect, the skin looks healthy and natural.
The winkle elimination treatment is in principle pain-free, however upon patient’s request the doctor can make anesthesia. A local anesthesia is usually applied during the lips enhancement treatment.
The period, in which the initial effect of the treatment is maintained, can be extended with subsequent retouching treatments.
Directly after the treatment, reactions typical for every injection can occur, for instance: swelling, reddening, pain, itching, hyperpigentation and excessive sensitivity to touch in the place of implantation of gel. These symptoms usually disappear automatically within one to two days after injection of the substance into the skin and within one week after injection into lips.
For how long does the effect last?
The effect is long-lasting, however it is not permanent. The durability of the treatment is an individual thing. It depends on many factors, such as age, skin type, lifestyle and activeness of facial muscularity. Most patients decide to do the supplementary treatment after six to twelve months from the first treatment of smoothing out wrinkles and facial contours correction. The lips enhancement treatment usually requires supplementation after approximately six months
